because
i could not stop for death
he kindly stopped for me
the carriage held but just ourselves
and immortality
we slowly drove he knew no haste
and i had put away my labor and my
leisure too
for his civility
we pass the school where children strove
at recess in the ring
we pass the fields of gazing grain
we pass the setting sun
or rather he passed us
the news drew quivering and chill
for only gossamer my gun
my tippet only two
we paused before a house that seemed a
swelling of the ground
the roof was scarcely visible
the cornice in the ground
since then two centuries and yet
feel shorter than the day
i first surmised the horse's hands
were towards eternity
because i could not stop for death by

📖Descripción del Video y Contexto Literario
⏳ This poem by Emily Dickinson could have millions of interpretations; I decided to see it like a trip to the past while you're about to die. That's why I chose to turn it into a hypothetical road trip. I know it is a strange metaphor, but those are the first images that came to my mind when I read the poem for the first time. Hope you enjoyed it!

Because I could not stop for Death
By Emily Dickinson
Because I could not stop for Death –
He kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
And Immortality.
We slowly drove – He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility –
We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess – in the Ring –
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –
We passed the Setting Sun –
Or rather – He passed Us –
The Dews drew quivering and Chill –
For only Gossamer, my Gown –
My Tippet – only Tulle –
We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground –
The Roof was scarcely visible –
The Cornice – in the Ground –
Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity –
